Mr. Toeldte has served as Boise Inc.’s President, CEO and a director since the company’s inception in February 2008. Previously, he was executive vice president, Paper and Packaging and Newsprint with Boise Cascade, L.L.C.; chair of Algonac Limited, a private management and consulting firm based in New Zealand; executive vice president of Fonterra Co-operative Group, Ltd., and chief executive officer of Fonterra Enterprises; served in various capacities with Fletcher Challenge Limited Group; and was a partner at McKinsey & Company. He is past chairman and member of the board of directors of the American Forest & Paper Association. Mr. Toeldte studied economics at the Albert-Ludwigs-Universität in Freiburg, Germany, and received an M.B.A. from McGill University in Montreal, Canada.

Ms. Lassa has served as executive vice president and chief operating officer since January 2013. Ms. Lassa served as senior vice president of our paper and specialty products operations from November 2010 to December 2012. From February 2008 to October 2010, Ms. Lassa served as vice president of our Packaging segment. From October 2004 to February 2008, Ms. Lassa served as vice president, Packaging, of Boise Cascade, L.L.C. Prior to 2004, Ms. Lassa served in a number of capacities with Boise Cascade Corporation, including vice president, Packaging, and packaging business leader. Ms. Lassa received a B.S. in Paper Science and Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.

Mr. Cotterell has served as our senior vice president and chief financial officer since January 2011. From February 2008 to December 2010, Mr. Cotterell served as our vice president and controller. From October 2004 to February 2008, Mr. Cotterell served as vice president and controller of Boise Cascade, L.L.C. Prior to 2004, Mr. Cotterell served as director of financial reporting of Boise Cascade Corporation. Mr. Cotterell received a B.A. in Spanish from the University of Idaho, a B.S. in Accounting from Boise State University, and a Masters of International Business from the American Graduate School of International Management. Mr. Cotterell is a certified public accountant.

Ms. Gowland has served as our senior vice president, general counsel and secretary since August 2010. From February 2008 to July 2010, she served as our vice president, general counsel and secretary. From October 2004 to February 2008, Ms. Gowland served as vice president, general counsel and secretary of Boise Cascade, L.L.C. Prior to 2004, Ms. Gowland served in a number of capacities with Boise Cascade Corporation, including vice president, corporate secretary, associate general counsel, and counsel. Ms. Gowland received a B.S. in Accounting and a J.D. from the University of Idaho.

Mr. Strenge has served as senior vice president of our technology functions since March 2012. From April 2008 to February 2012, Mr. Strenge served as senior vice president of our paper manufacturing operations. From February 2008 to April 2008, Mr. Strenge served as vice president of our Newsprint segment. From October 2004 to February 2008, Mr. Strenge served as vice president of the Newsprint segment of Boise Cascade, L.L.C. Prior to 2004, Mr. Strenge served in a number of capacities with Boise Cascade Corporation, including vice president of its DeRidder operations and paper mill manager. Mr. Strenge received a B.S. in Pulp and Paper Technology from Syracuse University.

Ms. Aulin has served as our corporate vice president, human resources and corporate affairs, since February 2008. From 2005 to February 2008, she served as vice president, Communications and Corporate Affairs, of Boise Cascade, L.L.C. Ms. Aulin has 18 years of strategic communications and public affairs experience, including a variety of positions with TimberWest Forest Corp., Weyerhaeuser Company, MacMillan Bloedel Ltd., and Burson-Marsteller Public Affairs. Ms. Aulin received a B.A. in Honours Political Science from the University of British Columbia, a Master of Arts in Journalism from the University of Western Ontario, and a Master of Philosophy in International Relations from Oxford University in England.

Mr. Egan has served as our corporate vice president and chief information officer since February 2008. From October 2004 to February 2008, he served as vice president and chief information officer of Boise Cascade, L.L.C. Prior to 2004, Mr. Egan served in a number of capacities with Boise Cascade Corporation, including vice president, Information Services, director of enterprise applications, paper mill production engineer, business development project manager, manager of transportation services for the paper division, and manager of corporate strategic planning. Prior to joining Boise Cascade Corporation, Mr. Egan worked for Weyerhaeuser Company as a research intern and a forester. Mr. Egan received a B.S. from Colorado State University and an M.B.A. from Harvard.

Mr. Kunz has served as our corporate vice president, packaging since March 2012. At that time, he also added executive oversight of our Tharco operations to his responsibilities. From August 2011 to February 2012, Mr. Kunz served as vice president, Corrugated and Containerboard. From January 2011 to July 2011, Mr. Kunz served as general manager of our corrugated and containerboard operations. From 2001 to December 2010, Mr. Kunz served as general manager of our plants in Salt Lake City, Utah; Nampa, Idaho; and Sparks, Nevada, managing and leading full-line and heavy-weight corrugated container operations, as well as sheet plant operations. Prior to that time, Mr. Kunz served in a number of capacities with Boise Cascade Corporation, including director of office papers treasury operations, office papers senior financing associate, forms and converting papers sales representative, corrugated container sales representative, audit supervisor, and auditor. Mr. Kunz also served as vice president of sales and manufacturing of Crown Technology Corporation. Mr. Kunz received a B.A. in Accounting and Finance from Boise State University and obtained a CPA from the State of Idaho.

Ms. Madarieta has served as our corporate vice president and controller since February 2011. From February 2008 to January 2011, Ms. Madarieta served as vice president and controller of Boise Cascade, L.L.C. From October 2004 to January 2008, Ms. Madarieta served as Boise Cascade, L.L.C.’s director of financial reporting. Prior to 2004, Ms. Madarieta served as Boise Cascade Corporation’s supervisor of external financial reporting. Prior to joining Boise Cascade Corporation, Ms. Madarieta was an assurance and business advisory manager at KPMG and Arthur Andersen, where she was responsible for planning and supervising audit engagements for corporations and privately held companies. Ms. Madarieta received a B.B.A. in Accounting from Boise State University and is a certified public accountant.

Mr. Murphy has served as our corporate vice president and treasurer since April 2012. From March 2006 to April 2012, Mr. Murphy served as an executive director in the investment banking group of J.P. Morgan Securities, LLC, in Chicago, where he managed corporate client relationships in the basic materials industry and led marketing and coverage efforts for packaging companies. Prior to 2006, Mr. Murphy served in a number of capacities with J.P. Morgan Securities, LLC, in Chicago and Hong Kong, including vice president, associate, and analyst. Prior to joining J.P. Morgan Securities, LLC, Mr. Murphy was an analyst with John Nuveen & Co., Inc., covering not-for-profit healthcare companies. Mr. Murphy has an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering and Chemical Engineering from Northwestern University.

Mr. Tracy has served as our corporate vice president, corporate development since February 2008. From October 2004 to February 2008, he served as vice president, Planning and Development, of Boise Cascade, L.L.C. Prior to 2004, Mr. Tracy served in a number of capacities with Boise Cascade Corporation, including director of Planning and Development for its paper, packaging, and newsprint businesses, manager of Planning and Development, project manager for a $600 million expansion of its International Falls, Minnesota, paper mill, and various operational and technical management positions at its Minnesota, Louisiana, and Oregon paper mills. Mr. Tracy received a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Washington and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.

Mr. Ward served as corporate vice president, paper manufacturing, from March 2012 to May 2013. From July 2011 to February 2012, Mr. Ward served as vice president and mill manager at our Wallula, Washington, paper mill. From August 2009 to July 2011, Mr. Ward served as our vice president, Supply Chain. From February 2008 to July 2009, he served as our vice president and region manager, Minnesota Operations. From October 2004 to February 2008, Mr. Ward served as vice president and region manager, Minnesota Operations, of Boise Cascade, L.L.C. Prior to 2004, Mr. Ward served in a number of capacities with Boise Cascade Corporation, including vice president and region manager, Minnesota Operations, and paper mill manager. Mr. Ward received a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from McNeese State University.

Mr. Haser has served as corporate vice president, manufacturing, since May 2013. From March 2010 to April 2013, Mr. Haser served as mill manager at our DeRidder, Louisiana, mill. Before joining Boise, Mr. Haser served from March 2008 to March 2010 as mill manager for SP Newsprint in Dublin, Georgia. Prior to 2008, Mr. Haser held several roles at SP Newsprint, including production manager and operations manager. Before joining SP Newsprint, Mr. Haser worked in positions of increasing responsibility at Alabama River Newsprint and Willamette Industries. Mr. Haser began his career in 1987 as a project engineer at James River Corporation. Mr. Haser received a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Louisiana Tech University in 1987.
